For makers of daily games
Made a daily web game? This is how it gets listed on Today's Dailies, how to claim its listing or ask for a change, and the badge you can put on your own site. None of it needs an account, and none of it costs anything.
Getting listed
A game is listed when it is free to play, runs in a web browser on a phone or a computer, needs no account for the daily puzzle, and has a new puzzle every day. Suggest it with its link. Someone opens it, plays it and checks it against those rules before it goes on a shelf, and its link is checked again every night after that. Each listing gets its own page with the game’s reset time, its category and similar games.
Claim or update your listing
There are no maker accounts here. To claim a game or correct its page, email hello@todaysdailies.com with the game’s name, what should change (its description, reset time, maker name, link or icon), and how we can tell the game is yours: an email from an address at the game’s own domain is enough, or point us to a page on your site that names you or shows the badge. Pick your game below and the email is filled in for you.
Corrections from makers come first. A reset time is shown only when the game publishes one or shows a countdown, so tell us where yours does.
The “Featured on Today's Dailies” badge
A small badge for your game’s site, one version for light pages and one for dark ones. The letters are drawn as shapes, so it looks the same on any site with no font to load.
Type your game’s name and pick it: the snippets below then link to your game’s own page here, and the claim email above names it. With no game picked they link to the home page.
<a href="https://todaysdailies.com/"><img src="https://todaysdailies.com/badge-light.svg" alt="Featured on Today's Dailies" width="200" height="54"></a><a href="https://todaysdailies.com/"><img src="https://todaysdailies.com/badge-dark.svg" alt="Featured on Today's Dailies" width="200" height="54"></a>- The link is a plain address with no tracking tags, and the image’s alt text says what it shows.
- Keep the width and height as they are, or change both by the same amount.
- You can save the image and serve it from your own site; keep the link around it.
- There is nothing to sign and nothing to pay. Take it down whenever you like.
- The badge is optional and changes nothing about your listing or where it appears. If your site marks outside links nofollow, that is fine too.
Claimed listings on the home page
Games whose makers have claimed their listing (above) are shown on the home page under “Claimed by their makers”, badge or no badge. In the same email, say whether you want your listed games shown there; they go up once the claim is confirmed. None are shown yet.
Where visits come from
Every Play link here opens the game on its own site, carrying utm_source=todaysdailies, utm_medium=referral and the page it came from as utm_campaign, so your own analytics can count what this directory sends you and from which page.
