What Narutodle is

Four daily quizzes about the cast of Naruto, original series and Shippūden alike, make up Narutodle, each hiding a character behind a different kind of clue. Classic compares every name you try with the answer, Jutsu shows a blurred animation of a technique that sharpens as you guess, Quote supplies something a character said, and Eye leaves you with nothing but a single eye.

How a round works

Classic opens on an empty box and a prompt to enter any character. Each name you submit is checked against the day's pick, and what comes back trims the list for the next try; the roster runs only to the end of Shippūden. In Jutsu, a technique plays under a blur that clears a little after every wrong answer, with a Display colors switch beside it. Both of those pages count how many people have solved them so far and name the previous day's character, and Classic keeps a streak of daily wins in a row. Links at the bottom lead to sister sites LoLdle, Pokédle, Smashdle, Dotadle and OnePiecedle.

Good if you like…

• Onepiecedle: Another site in the same family, built on One Piece: trait clues, a bounty poster, a Devil Fruit's name or a recorded laugh take the place of jutsu clips and eyes.
• Harrypotterdle: Runs a multi-mode format for Harry Potter, pairing a trait-comparison character hunt with quote, spell, profile and place rounds instead of jutsu animations and eyes.
• Avatardle: Avatar fans get the same four-mode setup across The Last Airbender and Korra, though the extra rounds use a picture and a short music cue beside the usual clues and quote.
• Mangadle: Stays in manga and includes Naruto among its series, but you choose a title first, from One Piece to Frieren, then narrow down a secret character from each try's feedback.
