What Centumth is
Centumth is a list-guessing game in which the obvious answer is the weak one. Each day brings a single topic and a secret ranking of 100 entries; you get five guesses, and every entry you find scores its own rank, so a pick sitting at #3 earns 3 points while one down at #96 earns 96.
How a round works
Below the topic sits a short note on where the list comes from, plus a score bar with medal marks at 50, 150, 300 and the maximum of 490, which only answers ranked #96 to #100 can reach. Type a guess; close spellings are accepted when the intended answer is clear, though abbreviations usually are not, so be specific. One free hint is available per puzzle, and an answer missing from the list scores nothing. When your five official guesses are spent, Arcade Mode opens so you can keep digging through the remaining entries without changing the score you share. Every earlier topic can be replayed free in the archive under its original rules.
Good if you like…
- Daily Tens: Daily Tens also hides a ranked list on one topic, but only ten entries long, and you try to name every one of them until five misses stop you.
- Seldom: Seldom shares the push toward obscure answers over five guesses, though its score reflects the share of a 100-person crowd who would find your pick obvious, and the lowest total comes out ahead.
- Top Answer Club: Top Answer Club rewards the opposite instinct, the replies a survey crowd gave most often, and you need six of them before three lives are gone.
- Factle: Factle works from a ranking too, but only its top five matter, and they must be ordered correctly in no more than five tries using color feedback.
