What Electle is
Electle shows the seat chart of a national parliament's lower house, with its seats colored by party, and asks you to name two things: the country and the year of the election that produced it. Reading the size and mix of the party blocks is how you work toward an answer, and the site offers three modes: Daily, Endless and Easy.
How a round works
Choosing Daily Mode loads the day's chart, and a note under the instructions says only lower houses are used. The screen also carries plus, minus and reset buttons. Whatever you have picked appears beside a Selected label, which shows a dash until you make a choice, and the Guess button submits it. A correct answer opens a victory card naming the country and the election year, with a count of the attempts you needed and a timer running down to the next daily chart. Endless Mode and Easy Mode wait in the same menu as the daily.
Good if you like…
- TimeGuessr: TimeGuessr likewise asks for somewhere and some year from a single image, though its pictures are historic photos, placed by pinning a map and dated on a slider.
- Worldle: Worldle sticks to naming a country, but from the outline of its land, with six tries and distance and direction readings after each miss.
- Chartle: Chartle is another country hunt run on data: a statistic's history is charted with the mystery nation in red, and each country you name adds its own line for comparison.
- HeatMapQuest: HeatMapQuest flips the question, showing a world map shaded by some statistic and asking which statistic it is, over four rounds rather than one chart.
