About Dig Site
Each site in Dig Site hides a single buried find under a field of squares. Choose a square and tap it to stake it, then tap it again or press Dig to break ground. What comes up from each hole is a clue about where the find lies, and the aim is to reach it within six digs, reasoning from the soil rather than guessing.
The hunt runs against the clock. Uncover one find and the next site opens, and you keep going until the sun sets on the day's dig. The more finds you collect, the better your day. Every player digs the same sites on a given day, and they change at midnight New York time.
How to play
- Choose a square and tap it to mark it as your next dig.
- Tap it again or press Dig to break ground.
- Read what the soil reveals and use it to narrow down the find.
- Reach the find within six digs, then move on to the next site.
- Keep digging until sundown ends the hunt.
Tips
- Use each clue before digging again; a careful second dig often saves two careless ones later.
- Do not linger too long on one site, since the clock keeps running and more finds mean a better day.
Time and controls
A round takes about 3–5 minutes. Tap or click a square once to stake it, then again, or use the Dig button, to dig.
