About Sudoku Sprint
Sudoku Sprint hands you one small sudoku after another, each a six-by-six grid set in a calm zen garden. The rules match the classic puzzle on a smaller scale: every row, column and box must hold the numbers 1 to 6 once each. You select a square and choose the number that goes in it.
The clock starts at two minutes, and each grid you finish adds time back, so steady solving keeps the run alive. Sudoku Sprint is not a daily puzzle; there is no limit on runs, so play as many as you like and try to last longer each time.
How to play
- Pick an empty square in the six-by-six grid.
- Choose the number from 1 to 6 that fits its row, column and box.
- Fill the whole grid to win back time on the clock.
- Keep solving grids until the clock runs out.
Tips
- Start with rows or boxes that are nearly full, since the missing numbers there are easiest to pin down.
- Look for a number that can only go in one place within a box before guessing anywhere.
Time and controls
A round takes about 2–6 minutes per run. Tap a square and a number on a phone; on a computer, move with the arrow keys and type 1 to 6.
