What FoxiMax is
FoxiMax plays like hangman with a growing penalty: you uncover a hidden word by picking a single letter per turn, and each wrong letter puts another hidden word on the board. The game is over after eight misses, and finishing with fewer words means a stronger result. The daily puzzle sits beside a Training mode that deals out words at random.
How a round works
Today's board opens as a row of blank slots above an on-screen keyboard. Tap a letter; if the word contains it, the letter fills in. Choose one it lacks and the board grows by a fresh blank word, so a few early misses leave several words to clear at once. The game warns you to enter a single letter per guess. Play continues until everything is revealed or the eighth wrong letter lands, and a streak builds for players who return the next day. Outside the daily, Training serves practice sets, and the Share button sends a game to friends. The About button leads to the full rules.
Good if you like…
- Letteripher: Letteripher also uncovers hidden words by choosing letters on a keyboard, limited to five lives and racing a clock, but its six words are set from the start and share a theme.
- Rushle: Rushle also keeps many words open together, 26 of them, testing each guess on all at once and permitting ten misses, but it reports only letters sitting in their exact spots.
- Wordle: Wordle hides a single five-letter word and gives six guesses with colored tiles, so the target never multiplies the way FoxiMax adds words after a wrong letter.
- Glyph: Glyph also leaves one word to uncover from partial information, but its letters overlap into one combined mark, and trial words of your choice show which letters it contains.
