What Motion Path is
Motion Path is a memory game about movement: a point of light travels across the screen once, its trail fades, and you redraw the route with a single unbroken swipe. The same site hosts Dot Memory, a newer sister mode where dots drop onto the screen and must be put back where they landed.
How a round works
The daily challenge carries the date and runs as five rounds, each one numbered on screen as it comes up. A start card first reminds you that the light plays only once, so watch where it bends and where it stops. When the light has finished and its path is gone, trace the same shape in a single stroke without lifting your finger. The site plays sound and suggests keeping audio on. A practice mode outside the daily lets you rehearse any number of times, and Dot Memory has its own dated daily and practice, with four seconds to put the dots back.
Good if you like…
- Glide: Glide also replays motion you must reproduce from memory over five rounds, but you answer with a throw, scored on how near it comes to the original.
- Which way?: Also asks for one continuous stroke, but you draw a real river or mountain range on an unlabeled map, then compare your line with the true course.
- Border Recall: Border Recall swaps the moving light for country outlines: you sketch five borders from memory, with faint hints of the real edge that get smaller round by round.
- Glimpse: Glimpse is built on single looks too, with five recall rounds covering flashed cells, a dot's position, an order, a number and object placement.
