The best daily video game puzzles, from screenshots to soundtracks

Updated · By the Today's Dailies editors

Video game dailies fall into two camps. Some hide a whole game and hand you a screenshot, a cover, a stack of player reviews or a page of patch notes to find it with. Others stay inside one game's world and hide a champion, a Pokémon or a crafting recipe that only its players would know. Many of the second kind have names ending in -dle, after Wordle, and grade every guess with colored tiles.

This page takes picks from both camps, plus two built around game music. Every one is free in a browser, and the daily puzzle needs no account. Most big franchises have far more dles than fit here, so each section links to a list or hub with the rest.

Screenshots and cover art

Name the game from a picture, with more of it shown after each miss. The Guess The Game list and the Gamedle list have more.

Guess The Game

guessthe.game · Gaming

One screenshot from a video game, six attempts to name it, and a fresh screenshot of the same game after every miss or skip. Some later images bring a written hint as well, such as the platform it first came out on or the studio behind it. Sister sites run the same idea for films, books and logos.

Gamedle Classic

gamedle.wtf · Gaming

Works from a game's box art, and the picture opens up a little more after each try, with six lives to spend. Wrong answers are colored by whether they share the franchise and the saga, and any genre or platform they have in common is listed. Tabs lead to Gamedle's artwork, character and keyword puzzles.

Reviews, patch notes and numbers

Text and data instead of images: what players wrote, what developers changed, what a game shares with the answer, or how many hours a game takes to finish.

Steamdle

steamdle.com · Gaming

Real user reviews from the Steam store are the clues, one per turn, each with the reviewer's verdict, hours played and posting date. Name the game they describe within six tries. A skip costs a try just as a miss does, so it pays to guess whenever a review gives you a lead.

Patchdle

Medhus · patchdle.com · Gaming

Reads like a changelog: each clue is one entry from the patch notes of a real game, marked with a version number or date and tagged as, say, a fix or a balance change. Six guesses, with a flag when you pick the right franchise or developer. Every earlier puzzle can be replayed free from the archive.

Pixeldle

pixeldle.com · Gaming

A Wordle-style hunt for one video game, with ten guesses. Every title you try is compared with the hidden one on release year, genre, platform, number of players and developer. On the year, a partial match means you are within three, and an arrow says whether to go earlier or later.

HowLongToBeat Daily Challenge

howlongtobeat.com · Gaming

From the site that tracks how long games take to finish: three games a day, and for each you estimate hours for the main story, main plus extras and completionist, plus its user rating. Each answer earns up to 25 points by closeness, and a single power-up each round can reveal or narrow an answer.

One game's world at a time

These hide a character, creature or recipe from a single franchise and grade each guess against it. The LoLdle list, the Pokedle list and the Pokémon page have many more.

LoLdle

loldle.net · Gaming

Five League of Legends puzzles on one site, each hiding a champion. Classic compares every guess with the answer on its attributes, while the other modes give you a line the champion says in game, a single ability, a string of emoji or a cropped piece of splash art. One visit covers all five.

Pokedle

pokedle.com · Gaming

Find the day's Pokémon by how each guess lines up on its two types, evolution stage, color, habitat and generation, plus whether it is fully evolved. Before you start, pick the generations you know and decide if alternate forms like Mega and G-Max are in the pool; a hint unlocks after a few guesses.

Minecraftle

Tamura Boog, Zach Manson, Harrison Oates and Ivan Sossa Gongora · minecraftle.zachmanson.com · Gaming

Wordle on a crafting table: lay ingredients on the grid to work out the day's secret Minecraft recipe in ten guesses. Green marks an ingredient in the right slot, orange one that belongs somewhere else and gray one the recipe does not use. A Random mode and a high-contrast setting sit beside the daily.

Pokedoku

Doku Games · pokedoku.com · Gaming

A grid rather than a guesser: nine boxes, each needing a Pokémon that matches two labels, one across and one down, such as a type and a region. Nine guesses fill the board, no Pokémon can be used twice, and rarer answers earn a lower uniqueness score, which is the goal.

Game music

Two for listening: one asks which piece of game music you are hearing, the other where in a game world it plays.

ReHeardle Video Games

reheardle.com · Gaming

Heardle for game soundtracks: hear the opening seconds of a piece of video game music, then type and pick the matching track from the list. A skip or a wrong answer lets more of the intro play, starting with one extra second, so the aim is to name it from as little as you can.

Jingle.rs

For Old School RuneScape players: hear a track from the game's soundtrack and pin the place in the game world where it plays. Settings add a hard mode with random snippets, a choice of regions and the 2004 audio, and a history tab sets your scores beside the global average. Practice and multiplayer modes sit beside the daily.

How these were picked

Each game here is listed on Today's Dailies, which means it costs nothing, runs in a web browser and opens its daily puzzle without an account. Links are rechecked nightly. How each round works was confirmed on the game's own site in early November 2026, and any reset time quoted here came from the game itself. The picks are grouped by the kind of clue, never ranked. All 12 picks were opened in a phone-sized browser between November 4 and November 7, 2026 and loaded, and each one fit the screen without sideways scrolling.

The checks every listed game goes through are set out in how games are checked and listed.

Questions

What is a video game Wordle?

Usually one of two things. A game guesser such as Guess The Game or Pixeldle hides a whole title and gives you screenshots or side-by-side comparisons to find it. A franchise dle such as LoLdle or Pokedle hides a character or item from one game and compares each guess with it on traits such as type or generation.

Which daily games show a screenshot of a video game?

Guess The Game shows one screenshot and adds another from the same game after each miss or skip, six in all. Gamedle Classic starts from box art that shows more with each try. For words instead of pictures, Steamdle uses Steam reviews and Patchdle uses patch notes.

When do video game dailies reset?

Each game sets its own time. The HowLongToBeat Daily Challenge resets at midnight UTC, which is 7:00 p.m. in New York in winter and 8:00 p.m. in summer, and Patchdle changes over at 5:00 a.m. in Oslo. The reset times page lists every game that publishes its time.
